This innovative project is aimed at reshaping the landscape of public housing standards in Puerto Rico. Faced with the challenge of crafting a low-income home that not only catered to the welfare of its residents but also dismantled the stigma associated with dangerous and marginalized communities. Our solution incorporates meticulous design strategies addressing health, safety, comfort, image, accessibility, and climate control, the project emerged as a beacon of positive change. Acting as a magnetic force for urban activity, the complex resonates with a harmonious blend of diverse programs, including a mini-market, an interactive library, a daycare center, and a fitness facility. The integration of the community starts at the ground level, radiating outward to the corners of the complex, ensuring a seamless progression from public engagement to private sanctuaries. Every apartment boasts a unique outdoor space, be it a balcony, terrace, or patio, fostering a sense of connection and community among residents.
